I went to the the University of Denver and then finished at UNO with a degree in Business. I worked 35 years as a Consumer Sales rep for Eastman Kodak. We lived in Evansville In., Chicago, Ill., Cincinnati Ohio, and then finally got Kodak to let us to finish our career in Evansville for 24 years where we have extended family on my wife's side. Immediately after retiring in 2005 I went 6 times to Biloxi, Ms. leading our church group to aid in clean up and reroofing houses after Katrina. The next spring our suburb was hit by a tornado coming within a mile of our house so I worked in clean up there for many weeks. Some friends suggested maybe I should go back to work so the calamities would stop so I began working part time for some brokers.
Two years ago I became a publisher of three devotionals my wife and her sisters wrote (her triplet sisters and their younger sister). This year two of the sisters joined the other two in retirement so we are now hoping to book speaking engagements where they can promote these books and their newest which is a fictional story in the genre of The Chronicles of Narnia. It's written for 2nd - 7th
grades to teach in a fun way the six plus one writing traits. All four are retired school teachers. If anyone wants to preview any of the books they can go to thekandelsisters.com and read four chapters for free. Isaiah 26:3 is my life verse. John
