I went to the the University of Denver and then finished at UNO with a degree in Business. I worked 35 years as a Consumer Sales rep for Eastman Kodak. We lived in Evansville In., Chicago, Ill., Cincinnati Ohio, and then finally got Kodak to let us to finish our career in Evansville for 24 years where we have extended family on my wife's side. Immediately after retiring in 2005 I went 6 times to Biloxi, Ms. leading our church group to aid in clean up and reroofing houses after Katrina. The next spring our suburb was hit by a tornado coming within a mile of our house so I worked in clean up there for many weeks. Some friends suggested maybe I should go back to work so the calamities would stop so I began working part time for some brokers.

Two years ago I became a publisher of three devotionals my wife and her sisters wrote (her triplet sisters and their younger sister). This year two of the sisters joined the other two in retirement so we are now hoping to book speaking engagements where they can promote these books and their newest which is a fictional story in the genre of The Chronicles of Narnia. It's written for 2nd - 7th
grades to teach in a fun way the six plus one writing traits. All four are retired school teachers. If anyone wants to preview any of the books they can go to thekandelsisters.com and read four chapters for free. Isaiah 26:3 is my life verse. John

Enjoyed Snarking with Oscar Robinson, "2 a days" practice for football in 90 degree heat with cockaburrs sticking in our hands, painting you'll never forget the "class of 65" on the wall in front of the flag pole, sock hops at the Y, and many more things to numerous to mention.

THANK YOU for creating and keeping this going!!!! I may have said this before but it is invaluable. I got Stubbs notice today and may never have known and been able to grieve or share thoughts with his family. THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! FROM ONE OF YOUR KIDS AND IF THIS DIDN'T COPY TO ALL YOUR KIDS (CHILDREN) please make it so.

Happy birthday!! just got through writing response to Jim Stubblefields passing and wanted to thank Ed Cook for keeping this going all these years or I would not have known of either event. have a blessed Birthday and thanks for service at USPS. John

Jim was always a blessing to my life! We met at Monmouth Park for K and 1st then got back together inn 6th at Mcmillan in 6th where we attended for 3 years. We played opposite side tackles there and at North 3 years. Mrs. Stubblefield was like a second mom advising us on different social matters. On 2 different occasiions in the last 20 years my wife and I were in the same hotel as Jim and Shirlynn unplanned in Omaha! We met by chance in the lobby or parking lot and we live in Indiana and they in Utah! While together we were able to meet his kids and dad and they my mom. God works in mysterious ways! Shirlynn our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.  SOMEDAY SOON WE'LL MEET AGAIN IN A BETTER PLACE! That is my dad. I remember selling tickets to scout expo convention downtown and us walking alongside Gulliver. Good memories.
