My husband Wayne Gipson passed October 2014. He had 5 children 13 grand children and many many great grandchildren and now great great grandchildren are coming. At this time I don't have an accurate count of how many "steps" I have.

I am retired now but seem to be busier that when I was working full time. I am a foster grandparent through Easter Nebraska Office on aging and play and read to children in a nursing home. I am the current president of my condominium association, I read to a blind friend about two hrs a month, teach Sunday School and volunteer once a week in the office of my church. Up date as of February 12, 2022. After major health problems including but not limited to cancer, I have slowed down. I do some church office work from home and still spend time with children at the Ambassador.
School Story

I was quite the introvert in high school. I was just beginning to come out of my shell when my father died between my jr and sr year. This caused me to go back into my shell. After 50 years, I remember very few of my classmates, but this site has reminded me of some of them.

Graduated from Faith Baptist Bible College in 1970
Received a Masters Degree in Education from Kansas University in 1979
Taught in school for 13 years. Three years at a private school in Jacksonville Florida and 10 years at a private school in Kansas City Kansas.
1983 a semi totaled my car in a six vehicle collision. This accident brought an end to my teaching career.

I regret missing the reunion this year. I have had some major health problems including but not limited to cancer since the last reunion. At least to date I have not had COVID.

I had a bout with cancer last year. The docs say I am cancer free now.

Welcome Pam. You are one of the classmates I do have a memory of being in my class. I don't know if you remember me or not as I was quite shy in high school.

I had a great time at the reunion Fri and touring the school Saturday. I do hope to make it to the 55th reunion but that will be the 50th year college reunion. It took me 5 years to graduate college. Looking back on it I wish I would completed college in 4 yrs like most of my classmates did. But hindsight is always better than foresight.

My sister, June Rodgers also said she enjoyed the reunion.
The reunion committee did a great job of organizing the 50th reunion. Thanks to everyone that helped.

I do remember Mary Lou.  We went to the same church.  I saw her sister Linda at a church reunion.  This was over 10 years ago.  A few years ago, I noticed in the Obit column that Linda had also passed.

When I was working a temp job in 1984, I was working with Mary Lou's son.
